Find It Here

“Find it Here” is a major evangelistic campaign to deliver the Gospel to 1.5 million households across Kentucky in the weeks leading up to Easter Sunday 2010.  It is part of the GPS (God’s Plan for Sharing) initiative of the North American Mission Board aimed at fulfilling the Great Commission in the United States and Canada by 2020. The Kentucky Baptist Convention is partnering with NAMB and Baptist associations to conduct the campaign in Kentucky. Living Hope will be partnering with the Warren Association of Baptists.

Through “Find it Here,” Kentucky Baptists will seek to distribute a printed Gospel presentation to every Kentucky household. The Gospel presentation will be in a plastic bag containing a specially designed brochure and Easter invitation to Living Hope Baptist Church. The brochure has a Gospel message that directs the reader to the FinditHere.com website and a mail back card for ordering a free book. The website is designed specifically for unchurched people. Visitors to the site can see video testimonies, learn more about Jesus’ love, find a Southern Baptist Church in their vicinity and download a free e-book. We will be supported in the Gospel distribution through a national media campaign. NAMB and the KBC will be purchasing radio and TV time to reinforce the message of the brochure in our community. The spots will encourage individuals to visit the FinditHere.com website or to call a toll-free number to NAMB’s Evangelism Response Center where they can receive spiritual counseling.

Living Hope will distribute the bag of information on March 27.  If your small group cannot deliver that day, you can schedule your own time.  It needs to be before Easter.  We have 5,400 homes in our area that was given to use by the Warren Association of Baptists.  Our goal is to hang the plastic bags on every house in our area by Easter.

Here are the expectations of an involved small group:

1. RSVP to the “Find it Here” Coordinator, Abe Bagby (abagby@lhbg.org) and 270-320-7622, if your small group is willing to participate.

2. Plan with your small group to distribute the material on March 27^th.

3. Encourage small group members to visit Living Hope’s “Find it Here” website

4. Pick up your small group street assignments on Sunday the 14^th or 21^st.

5. On March 27^th, distribute the “Find it Here” material and Prayerwalk the streets that your small group has been assigned.

This is a great seed-sowing event for our community. What if just 10% of the people who get a bag come to church on Easter?  That would be 540 people.  What an amazing Easter we could have.  Begin praying now on how your small group can be involved.
