Born September 10, 1962 in Northridge, California.

Family:
Married Karen Sue Welker in 1985. He and Karen have 4 children: Tracey Fish 23, Steven 20, Heather 15, and Kristina 5.

Church & Christian Background:
Steve went to church with his mother as a child and was later involved in a youth group as a teen. He attended a revival at Harmony Baptist Church in Southeast Texas, and it was there that he accepted Christ. He was baptized at Harmony Baptist a week later in 1975.

Steve has been a Christian for 33 years, has attended Living Hope Baptist for 15 years, and became a member in 1995. He has served as a 2nd grade Sunday School teacher, Small Group leader, Small Group coach, Mission Team leader, Personnel Committee (Chair), Deacon (Chair), backup for nursery care, substitute ABF teacher, 10/40 Café worker, and various community projects (One Great Day, Hope House, etc.). Steve is also a member of a men’s small group that meets weekly.

Steve currently is the Director of Industrial Manufacturing at Lord Corporation and has worked there for the past 20 years.
