Richard Foster teaches that, “In contemporary society our Adversary majors in three things: noise, hurry, and crowds. If he can keep us engaged in ‘muchness’ and ‘manyness,’ he will rest satisfied.” We must take a break from the madness of having, doing, and overextending and find peace in the simplicity of God. If we can release our life into the hands of our Creator and live with the quiet confidence of faith, we can rest. Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). In this series of four messages we will learn how to do that.
