Centri-kid FAQ's for both Camps
Will there be a parent meeting?
Yes - a required attendance meeting. The reason this is required is that we need a notarized parent release form. May 23 at 4:00pm for 3rd grade parents and 4:30pm for 4/5 grade parents.
What is the student to counselor ratio requirement?
1 counselor per 5 students we bring.
How will our students get to camp?
We will be taking church vans to Campbellsville. We will charter a bus and have a couple of counselors drive to Georgetown.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
There is a girls dorm and a boys dorm. All of our students and counselors will be in a block of rooms together. The students will be sleeping two or three to a room and our counselors will be sleeping in adjacent rooms. We will try our best to accommodate any special request for room assignments. Room request must be in writing by both parents by noting on the camp registration form, email or a note in the office. Verbal requests can not be guaranteed.
How can I learn more about what my child will be doing at camp?
Download this helpful brochure or visit Centri-kid's website.
Will my child need spending money?
Yes, there is a camp store and snack shack. See Camp store price guide above under "Informational Downloads"
My child is in 2nd grade. Can he/she go if he/she is attending with a sibling?
Sorry but no. Centri-kid is very strict on their age requirements. We are required to present a notarized form with current age and grade.
What are Parties?
These are camp wide activities that happen at night and are just for fun! Sometimes the party is in a game show format and sometimes it is a recreation based activity. The setting may be indoors or outside. The last night's party is a chance to see what the performance track times have been working on all week.
What are track times?
These are planned times during the day where your child can choose two areas of interest to participate in. Most likely tracks available are listed in the camp packets we are preparing. Others will be added based on the personnel at our camp. **We have contacted the camp and at this time they cannot give us a list due to still contracting personnel.
What happens at Free Time?
Free time is just that -- free time for campers to hang out on campus, relax, or jump into more activities. There are always free time options planned so there is never a dull moment unless you choose to take a nap! Most locations have a rec center and/or a snack bar so be sure to bring some extra cash. Of course the Camp Store is open, and there are staff all over campus hanging out with your students.
