There are at least seven values that exist at the core of a church that is seeking to live on mission for God. These values guide the church in much the same way as the lines on a busy road direct a car. They keep the church on track and headed in the right direction. Like DNA they also provide the fundamental building blocks of the church body and determine the direction and function of the congregation.

Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you” (John 20:21). The church is a gathered body of believers who have been sent by Jesus to go to the world and share His Good News. As we go together to fulfill the mission, we go with principles that direct our path.

In this series we will seek to understand what they are and how we can live them out as individuals in a community of faith.
